Widespread Arrests of Renowned Oromos Continue in Finfinnee
OLF News - Nov 3, 2008 - Ethiopian TPLF/ Wayyaanee forces continued arresting prominent Oromo nationals and throwing them into jail, our sources reported.
Reporters of OLF News from Finfinnee confirmed that prominent and respected Oromo nationals:
1. Owner of the famous Hawi Hotel in Finfinnee - Mr. Eshetu Kitil, 2. Secretary of the Oromo Federalist Democratic Movement - Mr. Baqqalaa Jiraataa, 3. Wife of journalist Dhaabasaa Waaqjiraa, who has been in prison for a long time - Mrs. Lelisee Wadaajoo are among those thrown into jail by the TPLF/EPRDF regime forces.
While our reporters were unable to verify exactly how many Oromos had been taken into Maikelawi jail in this new wave of arrests, they verified that 15 new people were arrested on Friday, October 31, 2008 and had been brutally tortured in the prison. Read More.
