Mo Foundation to announce second winner of $5mn African annual award

The Mo Ibrahim Foundation, established in 2006 to strengthen governance in Africa and to support excellence in leadership, has finalized preparations to announce the second winner for the foundation's $5 million annual award, the Foundation disclosed here on Sunday.

The Foundation announced here Sunday that the second Mo Ibrahim Index will be launched on 6th October 2008 in Addis Ababa, the Ethiopian capital in the presence of various governmental officials and invited guests from various countries.

According to its statement, the launching of the second index will be closely followed by the announcement of the second winner of the Ibrahim Prize on 20th October. Read More.
